Bright orange light

I have a sony dsc-w5. It works fine, but I've been looking all over the internet for a question about it. there is a very bright orange light that lights up when I take pictures. It is VERY bright and sometimes causes people to look away from the camera. Is there anyway to turn the light off, or a mode to take pictures without the light coming on? Thank You for any help
