Problem in Sony Cybershot Digital camera

Earlier when I had newly bought this Sony Cybershot Digital Camera , problem was it used to get switched off automatically without the power being switched off,or sometimes I used to get a white screen and it was impossible to switch off the camera with the power button itself . But now the new problem is it just refuses to start. I would be glad if someone could help me this problem . Thanks in Advance
