I am having the same problem with my Sony KV-36XBR450. I purchased it about 4 years ago in Lubbock, TX, from an authorized Sony dealer. When I turn it on, it'll automatically go into standby. No picture, but there is sound for the split second before it goes into standby. The blinking red light is also working. If anyone has any new information concerning this problem, please let me know.
