Needing help to see if code 31:41 for a sony trv 16 is fixable or if I need to buy another camera. Circuit City is wanting more to fix it then to by another.

Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem code. It'll open and close find without a tape, but when I put a tape in it won't close and if I do get it to close (by pushing) it may play and may not. If it does play it'll go for about 5 seconds then the error code 31:41 comes up with the arrow. Any help would be great.
