Unidentified error symbol

I have a CANON MV450i video camera, and I have a small RED symbol, when I tape and play something. I don't know if you can help me.. I lost the manual, and I don't know what the symbols means. It's red, blinking, in the middle, and it's in the shape of a cigarette with a line crossing it. ? Does anyone know what it is? ... I have another recent problem with my camera. I can tape something,everything works fine, but when I want to "play" the film in VCR mode, it loses the "timecode", I can't see it, and it doesn't work, I cannot watch my movie!? Do you think it could be related to the symbol blinking? THANK YOU! Stephanie
