Sony dcr-hc40 Error Code C:32:11

Need help with error code C:32:11 on my Sony camcorder.

I ejected a cassette from my camcorder, and since then I can't get the cassette door to latch when I try installing a cassette. An error code pops up (c:32:11), and it also displays the message (re-attach the power source). I have tried resetting it, removing the battery, removing the battery while the power is on. Nothing clears the error. Any help would be appreciated.

Same problem with a Sony Hanycam Dcr-Hc27...cassette door cant close and give the error code c:32:11

Alan, Did you ever solve your problem with your sony camcorder? I've had mine for just over a year now ...and used it at most three times. I'm getting the exact error message you had Thanks for any help,
