I have the same camera and the same problem. I read somewhere to just hook up the camera through a firewire connection and that should do the trick BUT I did that and I ran into the same problem (it wanted the drivers etc.. and those things come on the install disc). I have looked up and down the internet for the software needed for this camera and have struck out. If you happen to get the software needed I would greatly appreciate you sharing it with me.
