my ps2 is old about 1 1/2 years old or 2 but i dropped it and now it cant read anything

i dropped my ps2 from about 1/2 a foot and the next day i attempeded to play it but it would just go to the main screen. i will maybe say reading disk once but the stop it just wont read any thing.
