Re: JVC service or questions

Chris Posted Nov 06, 2005, in response to:Stacy Sample

Hi, I have a GRd30 camera that goes into condensation mode every time I move it. I can leave it connected to firewire as a computer deck, but if I ever try to use it as an actual camera, I spend 6 hours waiting for condensation error to go away. I have cleaned the sensor in the upper left of the transport mechanism (as seen on Amazon.com's review) -- 4 Q-tips came back pitch black!! :-) Still, I get the "CONDENSATION - PLEASE WAIT" error. I wish I could just REMOVE the feature -- there never has been any actual condensation!! And if there were, I'd see it and stop, or maybe I'd want the effect. My digital camera lets me shoot with condensation and I sometimes do it on purpose, to simulate heavy fog. It's cool. So, please help me. Can I have this removed? Or disabled? Or at least repaired?? Thanks! Chris
