Sony Memory stick formatting error

I have a Sony TRV 480E handycam, while shooting a picture with my Sony magicgate 128 MB memory stick inside the handycam I saw that it is continuously tring to write to memory. Though it takes afew moments to store the captured image but that day it did not finished for a long time I tried to tun off camera but no use. I the pulled out the stick and tuned off camera Again when I tried to use the same memory stick ,I got the message "reinsert the memory stick" with warning tones I try to format it in camera but there was "reinsert momory stick" Windows dont recognidr this as removeable disk etc too Is there any body to help me out to get this stick reformatted and functional again I dont bother about data recovery Thanks
