Wont take pictures

Hi I have a sony DSC-U20.. The camera turns on the lcd works and all but once you switch to take pictures or video the lens doesnt seem to see anything its just a black screen on the LCD. I guess there is something wrong with the lens? How much do you think it will cost for it to get repaired and where are you located? Cheers

Sony Lens and LCD assy.can be supplied by us. It is not practical to get the repairs done in another country as customs regulations are involved. Kindly let me know for spares that you may need.
