hi everyone! discovered the same problem with my unit yesterday, only had the unit for 8 months :( it seems this problem is what you call 'lens cap error'. just would like to ask Dan, was your unit under warranty? and Bei,was your unit repaired already? if its no longer under warranty how much was cost of repair? thanks!
