I was reading on "PECHORIN'S" audio and video equipment discussion forum and
noticed your post. I'm having a lens cap error on my JVC GR-SXM250U. I have approx 4hrs record time on this machine. I have not dropprd it or misused in it in anyway. I Thank you in advance for your help with this matter.

You may already have found this out, but the fault you mention is a manufacturing defect known by JVC, (applies across a wide range of models) and who are offering a free of charge repair for this. (Both in the UK & USA)
