JVC camcorders with lens cap problem.

Just found out that JVC (UK) is now following their American operations and offering free repairs on the widespread lens cap problem, which goes quite a bit to reinstate my faith in JVC product's and support. Reading between the lines though, and with reference to the time span of the repairs being offered, I cant help but feel they know that there must be hundreds of as yet unsold camcorders in the shops potentially having this fault. Anyway, good for JVC, as I felt guilty at advising my son to buy his JVC model over others he had been looking at.
