premiere pro 1.5 CMX3600 inccurate?!?!

Armenws Posted Oct 27, 2005

problem: the CMX3600 EDL that Premiere pro 1.5.1 made for me does not reflect the edits on my timeline.

I did a test like this: one continuous 5 minute (no timecode breaks) chunk of DV video (down-converted in-camera from HDV) loaded in Premiere pro and edited. Then the EDL exported and loaded into FCPHD (latest version) and recaptured after some tweaking (it doesn't like pre-roll) in HDV. Great. The clips were on-lined within a frame of exactly what was on the EDL. The problem is that the EDL is totally inacurate for the edits in my original premiere job. I have no idea where it got these timecodes from but they are a few seconds off at least. Premiere doesn't seem to have options for the CMX36000. It also does not seem to log the clip timecodes in a 'properties' window to look at. What the heck? Any suggestions? Thanks for any help -Armenws
