JVC AV 32t25 service menu and dark when playing back dvds or sky

I have the JVC AV 32t25 and I have had the problem of dark picture when playing dvds and watching sky and sky movies. I know their are problems with darkness through RGB butr to be honest S-video is the same. I email JVC with the problem I have and they said this is consistent with a problem in the service menu ie it has happened before and they are aware of it. Does anyone know how exactly to solve this. For starter I dont know how to acces the service menu and I wouldn't know what to do when I got there Thanks Ja
