MiniDv won't playback after getting E03or E04 Unit in Safeguard mode eject and reinsert tape

I am copying minidv's into my hardrive, and this morning I was looking at different tapes to see what they had in, when one of them malfunction with the error mentioned above. The tape was a bit "eaten" from the machine, so I had a hard time taking it out. After taking the tape out, the videocamera won't replay any of the videos I put in. The LCD screen is blue, I can hear the tape running, but no picture comes up... Not even when I hook it into the computer... Can anyone help??? Thanks, Maria
