HomeCannot turn on power My television power button will not turn on at the set or using the remote control. I know there is power to the outlet and have it in a power strip. The power did go out and the TV was plugged into the wall. However, this has happened in the past with no bad occurances. Now I have it plugged into a powerstrip. All other electronic devices are functional in room. What can be going wrong here and is it economical to get it fixed.

This same problem just started happening to me, on a JVC AV 32770. It must be an unfortunate flaw with the on/off switching in this vintage of JVCs. That's too bad, because the replacement that will fit into my entertainment center almost has to be an LCD - these LCDs just don't play standard resolution video very well, even the best ones. |
