Screen Issues with Image Projection

AV27230: Over the past month, the TV will be near to white, with bright green lines (thin) spreading across the screen from the right. On the left side of the screen, the image appears slightly darker, as well as in the far right corners of the screen. However, about 1/10 of the time, we still get the same quality image that we originally had. We've had the TV for approx. three years, and the image quality have been beyond superb until now. Can this be resolved inexpensively? Can I fix this problem at home (well inclined mechanically)?
