Home | Previous messageI fixed it. Sony Mavica CD1000 was making a grinding noise, then the dreaded C:13:01 error. I took the camera apart. Lots of little screws and small ribbon cables. I found a small piece of spring steel with a nylon tooth on it that had lost its spring. I bent the spring steel a little bit, so that the nylon tooth would engage the threaded drive rod firmly. I reassembled the camera and its works better than ever. This job is not for the faint at heart but if you are patient and have a good working light and a tiny philips screwdriver, you can fix it yourself... For anyone interested, I even photographed the problem.
