Re[3]: Never Buy any Panasonic Digital Camera or Camcorder

Alex Posted Oct 17, 2005, in response to:Davy

If it breaks after 2 weeks, it should be covered by warranty and Panasonic will provide parts for free assuming you are ASC. And what is your definition of market or open market? Is it flea market? I guess some defective product can get there since it's not distributed through normal sales channels. Ever heard of chinese water product? Same thing with refurbished product. So, your warning should be really to buy from official source only. Talking about Sony, if you have level 3 manuals, it doesn't mean that Sony distributes them freely to ASC's, they are for very few factory service centers only. Most of ASC's are supposed to work with level 2 manuals.

Open Market means only grey market. They have brand new camcorders fully working but not packed . They have no guarantee but have all the accessories with them. I am not comparing my self with ASC as here in India ASC are just of name. They make huge bills of repair . Here private repair is more than ASC. If a ASC makes a bill of 100$ , private repair shops can do the same job in 30-40$ usually. Regards, Davy
