Re: SONY DSC-T1 LCD SCREEN REPLACEMENT PARTS

abhijit Posted Oct 15, 2005, in response to:Thomas D

Hi, I need some help from you. I have bought a Sonycybershot P200 almost 2 months back. Around a month back it fall down and the LCD screen has gone blank. I had been using it without any problem ever since, but I have to use the manual viewing while taking the snaps since the picture is not displaced on the LCD now. I would like to know if you keep the LCD screen and sell it as a spare? Is there any one u r aware of who can help me - other than the Sony Service Centre since the damages they estimate is as good as buying a new camera now. I am located at Hyderabad - India and can be reached on +91 -9393932412

If the screen is totally dark and it doesnt look like its cracked, the cable that powers it probably became disconnected when you dropped it. If you open the camera you can follow the cable to make sure its connected properly, Im guess its not, and you dont need a new screen. I dont have any used screens for the P200, and they are expensive to buy from Sony, about $150 US I believe. Thomas
