JVC color TV Model AV-32750 (no power)

Tony L. Posted Oct 15, 2005

Unable to turn on subject TV.

I am unable to turn on the subject TV either by remote or power button on TV. When either button is pressed the red power on button comes on but immediatly goes off (that takes a split second). I've checked the remote batteries and the TV power cord both are working. Just recently I have been hearing what I'll call a buzzing/crackling sound when you change channels. Do you know what could possibly cause this? Is there a service notice out for this problem. Other than this problem the JVC TV has served me will since it was purchased in 1998. Thanks for any assistance you can give me. Tony L.

the repair kit for the audio circuit is TPCD-0002. Not sure where you can get it though.

The buzzing in the sound is usually caused by capacitors in the sound circuit drying out. The need to be replaced, or you can do what I did. I disconnected the speakers from the TV and ran the sound through my stereo system via the audio-out port in the back. The audio out port has it's own seperate circuit. As for the power issue, I now have the same problem and am trying to fix it. That's how I stumbled across your post. Good luck. Dan
