IC needed

I have a Sony Betamax SL-HF860D that needs a replacement IC for operating the clock display. Sony said the part number is 875994260 (description number MB88551-271N), but this part has been discontinued, at least in the United States. I was able to find all the other needed parts, except this one. I would hate to have to throw away my Betamax because I cannot find this one, last part. Can you help me?
