i need good laser at good price!!!

hey u wats up? i bought a jvc home cinema system wbout 2 years ago. it has stopped playing dvd"s. i got it checked out, and was told the laser has buggered up.150.00 its gonna set me back- the whole system, speakers and all only cost 190.00. what gives? the dvd player is model xv-tha25. surely theres somewhere i could purchase a new laser for a fraction of the price .i would be very grateful if you could help me out.
