The defective CCds have affected many other leading brands also and none takes care of the problems of the customers Worldwide. At best we can make it available at reasonable cost.

Thanx for the info.but www.dpreview.com sony has given the satement that 717 model be repaired at the place of purchase. i bought my 717 in the US. so i am sending it back to them through my cousin for repair. hope they do well this time. we will hope for the best. anyway thanx for your cooperation. we will try to meet when you come to chennai.
