Need help repairing a tape path problem.

Does anyone on this forum work on video cameras? I have three cameras with the same problem: during playback, the picture clitches every half second or so. When looking at the tape during playback, it wrinkles slightly on the bottom at the same rate as the glitch. Adjusting the rollers makes it worse. I completely tore the transport down without finding the problem. Because it is common to three cameras, it must be a common problem. Anyone found the solution?
