green screen with horizontal lines no picture audio o.k.

i recently purchased new jvc tv i had hooked up for two days when it finally went totally out. directv came and made sure it was not thier rec ( new hdmi). tv would pop then turn green for a few seconds and then go back to picture, finally it just stayed green. i have it connected to hdmi connection also tried component cables still nothing unplugged tv and let it reset still nothing .dvd player also shows green screen when activated. any suggestions would be helpful and also what would cause this? getting run around from tech support thanks in advance garry
