unclear picture while playing DVD or CDs on the DVD player.

connected the DVD player to my Sony TV. while playing DVD/CD the picture is not clear, disturbed, and the sound level is low. the FM output is perfect, so speaker setup is ok. what could be the problem, and are there any service centers in Mumbai, India.
