GR-D90U Problem.

I used the camera for about 1 month when I first got it and then left it unused for about 8 to 10 months plugged in. The battery is still charging and powering the camera. The play function works properlly. However, the record function doesn't. I get a black screen with the focus icon blinking constantly. I sent JVC an email to see if the camera is still under warranty. I have a feeling that these JVC GR-XX cameras are NO GOOD. If I have to spend money to get it fix, I am trashing it and getting a Sony. I still have a 7 year old Sony that still works but not as clear as the newer cameras. A. Longobardi
