AutoSync sometimes works sometimes doesn't when used to narrate a foreign language project.

I am using Avid v10.6 on a documentary on Nepal. Most interviews are in Nepali. I have been using Punch-In tool to record English translation after that I mix narration track down and AutoSync with the origianl clip. The trouble is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't the AutoSynced clip only has video and narration track (A3), the original audio tracks (a1 and a2) mysteriously "disappear". In other cases the AutoSynced clip would have only A1 and A3. Yet sometimes everything works V1, A1, A2 and A3 are synced and all present. Anyone out there encounted this issue and know how to deal with it?
