AM Interference

Tom Posted Sep 16, 2005

High voltage power lines produce a squeal at station 950 MHz AM on my radio. I like this particular station and would like to be able to listen to it in my garage while I'm working.

The noise is very bothersome; nealy to the point that I can't tolerate the station when I'm at home...on the road away from the HV line the station is fine. Can someone give me some ideas on either filtering out the noise or installing an certain type of antenna that would allow me to listen to my favorite station when I'm at home. Thanks. Selling the house and moving is not an option for me.
