safe guard funtion

while using our camcorder, the eo1-eo6 safe guard had been activated, I did what they said to do in the manual. remove the battery wait a few minutes then try again . which did not woek Could you please tell me if it is the battery or is something wrong with the cam.GR-SXM527, thank you
