Homebought DCR-TRV460E Sony Handycam. But now it is showing black screen in camera mode. In recording also it is showing black screen only. Working in tape mode is ok. I want to know what is the problem, how much will be the cost to repair this problem in indian rupees. Give me address of Sony service centre in Visakhapatnam.

Sounds like one of my camcorders...It happened when one of my son's friends aimed the thing drectly into the sun and fried the ccd. I had the same problem. Bought the camcorder 2 years back and now the display is blank. I took it to the sony service centre and they told me that the CCD block is faulty and asked me to pay. After a day they came back and said that i no longer have to pay as this part is under warranty. looks like that this part is a factory fault. Either the CCD is not working as the camera cannot see any thing. Od the LCD is not working because it has failed.
