I got Memory Stick Error using SanDisk 512MB but the original Sony 32MB MS is fine. Surprised to me that SanDisk can be read from my computer.

Thanks to several people on this forum who tips bending the MS will help. And bingo, that's it. It works well. I obversed that the SanDisk material is softer than the Sony's so the center pins on the connector may not be engaged well after the MS is inserted. What you need to do is bend it a little bit.
