power button doesn't work

Hi Buddy, I have Sony DCR TRV 460E camcorder. I have changed nos. of setting. So to restore factory defaults, I have used reset option by pressing reset button located left side of handicam. I have done it while it was off. But after pressing reset button, it turned on and asked for date settings. Then it works properly. But it does not allow me to power off from power button. Only way to shutdown is to remove battery while it is in on state. Are any settings needs to be done so I can switch off from button option? Thanks & Regards, Vinod
