1. turned camera off 2. removed battery and powercord from camera 3. hold the on switch in the power-on position for 15-30 seconds i was told this is some type of reset procedure 4. let switch go. 5. re-insert battery and/or powercord. 6. turn on camera hope it works. it worked for me and my mavica cd200
