Where can I find information and drivers for downloading my jvc GR-DVX9 to PC (Win XP Pro and Adobe Premier Elements)

I have a GR-DVX9 and am trying desperately to get some information and drivers to download to Adobe Premier Elements. There is no information in the manual that came with the camera about downloading DV, only info about downloading still pictures using the included software and I can’t get any information from the jvc.com website (in fact entering the model numbers shows ‘nothing found’). I can also not get through to jvc on the phone, it’s just constantly on hold. So as you can imagine, I’m a little frustrated. So far I have managed to connect the camera using a firewire cable from the dv out to the firewire port on the pc. When turning the camera mode to playback/pc and powering the camera on, the PC gives be a ‘bong’ (WXP pro) which normally means that a device has been detected, but then nothing else happens. Can anyone help please ??
