I have a 32 inch AV32DF74 purchased a year and a half ago.
One day recently, no picture, no volume bars. JVC service basically said "Out of warranty" , take it to service. Unless it's the tube which is covered by a two year warranty.
So, I brought it for service. My $839 TV would cost $445 to repair (video module, not the tube, etc.).
Please tell me if you think it is reasonable for a consumer to think this is fair that I should have to pay this. Even if it was the tube and covered under warranty, the labor would be $250.
My last TV lasted for 20 years.
Given the telephone response from JVC, I doubt I would ever buy a JVC product ever again.
Please tell me, is this reasonable or fair?
