Records Audio only!!!!!!

I own a mini dv cam GR-D33US, it recently stopped recording video. When you turn it on to record the screen is black, both viewfinder and lcd. The camera will record audio yet no video.The camera reads as if the lense cap is still on. I have tried to reset the camera and change settings nothing seems to help.Any advice
