You're correct. They are NLA. Have you tried on ebay? I see that speakers for the KV-2780R are still available as Sony 1-503-476-11. They are 2 1/4" x 5" PM 8 ohms at 5W. I believe these hung on the side of the set like wings. Maybe you could purchase one and break it down and retrofit it into the KV-2781R. Worst case purchase a set of external speakers and locate them remotely using the existing wiring that fed the originals. Hope this helps, Eric
