Converting PAL I Tv to PAL B/G

Anyone out there had any experience of converting a SONY Tv (BE3B chassis) from PAL I to PAL B/G? I'd need to replace the TUNER unit (to get VHF - its for NZ) and maybe a filter / trap or two. I have tried to source required parts in UK but no luck. Anyone know of suitable parts availability elsewhere?
