My Camcorder is showing nothing, but it shows the sighn "Lens cap".

JVC have admitted a fault on the CCD which they will repair free of charge. Look at the JVC UK homepage FAQ for instructions for free repair. Well done JVC, shame its taken two years to admit the known fault

Jessops can repair it for £219, with a 3 month guarantee. Or sell me a new model, the GRD240, which is much smaller, with 25x optical zoom, colour viewfinder, 2 year warranty (could be useful!!) for £229. No remote though. Hmm, what's the better option, I wonder?

I have the same problemn . If anyone can tell me why this has suddenly happened I would appreciate it. JVC grd20 Just shows lens cap in screen and a flashing focus symbol. Just will not record plays back okay . Thanx John

same with my jvc gr-d60 camcorder, i'm told its either a faulty ccd or the iris is stuck closed
