C:13:01 Sony memory Stick error on DSC-S30

Error: Memory Stick error C:13:01 Camera: Sony Cybershot DSC-S30 I've tried at least 3 different links that I've seen on this site to try to recover my pictures, but nothing works. I've tried ImageRecall, SmartRecovery & 2 others, but they can't even start to run because they don't recognize that my memory stick is even there. I can't recover them, view them or even format the stick. I even tried dropping it and opening it to look inside, but I see no problems. I've had this camera and same stick for years and have never had a problem. I'd dropped the camera dozens of times in the past (accidentally, of course), but nothing ever went wrong until my vacation last week when I dropped it only a few inches onto carpet. Figures.
