HomeSONY GV-200 Video 8 Walkman with "Batt. Low" Error Message Hi, i got stuck with a strage "Batt. Low" Error on a SONY GV-200 Video Walkman which had not been used for some time (3 months) and was working fine before. According to the Service Manual the Power down adjustment should show a value around 1.76 but it shows 9.04 which is just a little off.....and no way to adjust anything. The part that really trips me out is the fact that the box runs on the powersupply and should just have enough juice anyway. I tried 3 different powersupplys - all the same. Otherwise the unit seems ok and i would like to use it again. Any ideas?

Hi, Mine is doing exactly the same thing! I've been looking for a schematic that isn't 30.00! I buy and repair Sony HandyCams and am very electronics savvy! Would you or could you email a scan of the manual that covers the "low voltage" power down circuit! I'm a little confused in that you mentioned an adj but then say you can't adjust! What are you measuring when you refer to 1.7 and 9 being a little off? Resistance in a resistor or what? A little more info may allow me to fix mine and help you to fix yours! Dave |
