What parts did Sony Quote you on ? I have a problem with my Handycam too. Black Screen, no display. They said that IC Chip need to be changed and they want to charge me about s$180.00 (excluding Service charge of S$80.00). I just bought it 15 months ago and warranty just over. I used this handycam 4 times only over the 15 months and this happened. I told them to reduce the price as IC Chip don't cost that much. They just simply want to make money from us. Next time what you want to buy Sony Product, Think Twice first. Jason, Singapore
