GL1 was broken by government agency in airport TSA. Now I am faced with large repair costs or throwing it away?
I have a Canon GL1 that i flew with and unfortunately, TSA examined my camera as if it were a bomb and ripped the thing apart. Canon says I will need $1,400 to repair the camera. I'd rather buy a new one rather than spend that to repair my broken one. Is there anybody that can use old parts?? It turns on and plays miniDV tapes and films scewed. What does somebody advise I do? Warrenty is up on this. Somebody please help!
