Home | Previous messageMy JVC Mini-DV camera has gone wacky. I am trying to avoid paying $200 to have it fixed if you can help. When i have the camera in play back mode and i press play to start watching the video i have recorded, the menu function goes wacky. It is almost as if a ghost is working the menu function. then when i try and control it, the camera does not respond to me, it just keeps flashing various screens that go along with the menu function. Help!

From your symptoms....it is possible your operation button assy MAY be malfunctioning. The operation buttons in some cases are tied together in one assy. That could explain why your not getting any response from the control buttons. This symptom will need to be evaluated by a JVC technician or JVC authorized "DV" technician. This is not an issue you can correct yourself. Go to JVC.com to locate the nearest JVC Factory center. It is around $50 for evaluation at their centers. Their may also be shipping costs if you are not close enough to a center to drop it off. |
