need service menu to check all settings as well

the tv goes to a blue screen almost immediately on start up. you can key in a channel via remote but it shows a pic out of sync for about a sec and reverts to a blue screen. if a vcr input is used it does display a pic but no sound. if one uses the remote up channel the tv stays locked on channel 2. i have found some references to this problem but not the fix. i am a tech so am looking for a place to start servicing. i subbed the tunner from another set but to no avail tks keith
