The Black Box to convert signals AND fade from black?

Hello! We're a small stage theater looking to improve our movie-playing capabilities for niche audiences. So far we've decided on a Panasonic XGA 5000 lumen projector and a 20' x 35' Da-Lite Cinema-Vision screen, but it's harder to find a not-so-consumer DVD player, or worse, the virtual "black box" that will take inputs such as Composite, Component, S-Video, VGA, etc., being able to fade from black to that signal, and output with HD video via BNC jacks to the projector 100 feet away. The reason for requiring all those inputs is because of the possibilities involved. This projection system wouldn't just play DVDs, it would give Powerpoint presentations, be connected to the city's cable network, etc. It needs to be flexible. The projector has all the different inputs and can pick the correct one from signal received, but it can't fade from black: it would look stupid to to try to show a film with a push-button switcher, a black generator, and a DVD player. It needs to crossfade somehow. Can anybody help point me in a direction of a product that does all this? Thanks, Dave King
